Is the Dream Home open to view?
- The Dream Home opens to the public starting Saturday, January 10, 2026
- Home Hours: Saturdays, Sundays and Statutory Holidays from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
- Photos and virtual tours can be viewed on bigbrothersdreamhome.org as they become available.
What methods of payment are accepted?
- Tickets may be purchased online using Visa or MasterCard.
- Tickets may be purchased in person at the home using Visa, MasterCard, Debit or Cash.
- Tickets may be purchased by mail order using cheque (no post-dated) or money order

What is Win 50?
Win50 is a 50/50 style draw. All the money received in ticket sales by Midnight, April 30,
2026, is divided equally between the winner and the charity, up to a total jackpot of $2
Million.
Can I buy one or the other or both?
The public can buy either Dream Home tickets or Win 50 tickets or both.

What is the Win 50 prize?
The winner will be awarded 50% of ticket sales up to $1,000,000. Prize in CAD.
How will I receive my ticket?
You have the choice of receiving your tickets by email or mail. The method you choose to receive your ticket cannot be changed after the time of purchase.
How long will it take to receive the ticket by email?
Please allow 15 mins- 1 hour. Make sure to check your spam folder if the email does not come through in this time.
How long will it take to receive the ticket in the mail?
Please allow 3 – 4 weeks.
How and when will the winners be notified of what they have won?
- Winners will be contacted via telephone immediately following the draw.
- Winner names will be published at bigbrothersdreamhome.org, as well as BGCBigs’ social media accounts, within the week following each draw.

- There are six (6) prizes available to win, plus the additional draw for the Win50 (this is a separate ticket).

Who is responsible for ticket distribution and draw control?

Is the ticket tax deductible / do you get a tax receipt?
The ticket is not tax deductible and no tax receipt is issued as per Canadian Revenue
Agency Rules and Regulations.
Who cannot purchase tickets?
The purchase of Dream Home Lottery tickets by Board Members, Guest(s) of the Board, Governance Committee, Finance Committee, paid staff members and student interns for the purpose of personal ownership, or purchase for the purpose of personal ownership by direct family members who reside with any of these persons is not permitted.
The Raffle Ticket Managers, Stride Management, and their employees and members of their immediate family (a spouse, parent, son, daughter, brother, sister, or the spouse of any of these individuals) or anyone who lives in their home are prohibited from purchasing tickets on behalf of others or for themselves.
Can tickets be put in the name of a corporation or business?
Yes. Should the ticket be a winner, the prize will be awarded to the corporation or business.
Can orders be placed from people outside the province of Alberta?
Tickets may only be purchased or sold in Alberta. However, the Raffle is open to all
persons who are located in the Province of Alberta when purchasing tickets online.
How do I purchase my tickets without a verified address?
All address data has been pulled from Canada Post. If you are having trouble verifying your address, please contact the call centre to help complete your order.

When ordering on-line, do I get a reference number?
Only if you have included your e-mail address.
Can I choose a specific ticket number?
No. Ticket numbers are consecutive and computer generated.
How many names can be put on a ticket?
In the event that a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the licensed charity shall award the prize to the first name of all individuals identified on the ticket. BGC Big Brother Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area Society and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub. BGC Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area Society will not add the name of a person under 18 years of age on any ticket.
What happens if I lose my ticket or I can’t find it?
You do not need your ticket to claim your prize. We have all the necessary information to verify the winner. Your name, address & phone number are recorded in the database along with your ticket number. If you have the winning ticket number, you will be contacted by phone. If we cannot speak to you in person, you will receive your prize letter to claim your prize. Photo identification is required to claim your prize.

Proceeds from the Big Brothers Big Sisters Dream Home & Win50 Lottery support the future of mentorship and out-of-school programs for children and youth in Edmonton and surrounding communities.
