RULES & REGULATIONS

BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS

  1. Must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a ticket.
  2. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded.
  3. A. Members of the Board of Directors, Guest(s) of the Board of Directors, Finance Committee, Governance Committee, and paid staff are not permitted to purchase or accept tickets on the agency's Dream Home Lottery for personal ownership, or for members who reside with them.
    B. Student Interns are not permitted to purchase or accept tickets on the agency's Dream Home Lottery for personal ownership.
  4. Members of the Board of Directors, Guest(s) of the Board of Directors, Finance Committee, Governance Committee, paid staff and student interns of Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area Society and their spouses along with the staff of Stride Management are not permitted to purchase or accept tickets on the agency's Dream Home Lottery for personal use.
  5. If the winner has not been located within 365 days of the draw, after publicly advertising this fact, the Society will write to the AGLC requesting permission to allocate said prizes for use by Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area Society.
  6. Credit card vouchers made payable to the organization are acceptable. Non-certified cheques will be accepted. Ticket stub(s) will not be included in any draw until the funds are in the Dream Home Lottery #39 Raffle Bank Account (House Lottery #1).
  7. Each ticket is eligible for all prizes except where they may be late for the Early Bird or Loyalty Draws.
  8. All draws will be conducted in the following manner: Draw will be open to the public and take place at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Dream Home. One executive member of the Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area Society and one member of the public will be present to witness. The draw will be videotaped, and tickets drawn from a transparent draw barrel. Tickets will be drawn manually by an individual who does not have a ticket in the draw. The winning ticket(s) will be displayed to the witnesses for inspection immediately after they are drawn from the barrel.
  9. In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the licensed charity shall award the prize to the first name of all individuals identified on the ticket. Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub. Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters will not add the name of a person under 18 years of age on a ticket.
  10. Grand Prize is a choice of one of two Dream Homes, valued at $1,300,000 including lot, home furnishings, landscaping and GST. No cash in lieu prize will be awarded. Possession of the home is within 60 days after the winner is notified.
  11. The Loyalty Draw (1X $50,000) will be held at Offices of Stride Management in Calgary on January 25, 2019 at 12pm. Only tickets purchased prior to 11:59pm on January 6th, 2019 will be eligible for this draw.
  12. The Early Bird Draws will be held at the Offices of Stride Management in Calgary at 12pm.

  14. The Final Grand Prize House Draw is a choice of one of the two Dream Homes located at 29 Easton Close and 30 Easton Close, St. Albert ($1,300,000.00 including lot, home, furnishings, landscaping and GST). The draw will be held at 1:00pm on May 27, 2019 at one of the two Dream Home locations. Only tickets purchased prior to 11:59pm prior to May 20, 2019 will be eligible for this draw.
  15. All of the above mentioned draws are open to any member of the general public.
  16. Refunds will be available to ticket purchasers, however if any purchased ticket has been entered for any draw, no refund will be issued. Allow 3-4 weeks for arrival of official ticket(s).
  17. Tickets for the Dream Home Lottery will be sold in Alberta only.
  18. Total tickets available are 21,000 tickets @ $25; 21,000 sets @ 4 for $60; 15,000 sets @ 10 for $100 and 4,000 sets at 30/$200 for a total of 375,000 tickets.
  19. Tickets may be purchased by cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Debit and cash. The Lottery Committee's liability is limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
  20. Only upon demonstrating extraordinary circumstances to Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission will the Licensee make a request for draw extension.

All tickets will be controlled by the licensee and are only available by mail, phone, internet and in person at Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area offices (10135 89 Street, 9425 109A Avenue, Edmonton) and the Dream Home. Ticket request forms will be collected weekly, with tickets processed and mailed by the Lottery Tickets Sales Centre at Stride Management Corp. Ticket request forms must be received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre to be valid.
  23. Both the Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area and Stride Management Corp. respect your privacy. We do not rent, sell or trade our mailing lists. The personal information collected by the Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area will be used to process ticket orders and to contact you regarding ongoing and future lotteries. The names, cities and winning ticket numbers of the Dream Home prize winners will be published in Metro News with all winners posted on the Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area Lottery website: www.bigbrothershomelottery.org and posted on Facebook at Big Brothers Big Sisters Dream Home Lottery.

  4. Each ticket is eligible for the single Win50 cash prize.
  5. Ticket purchasers of the Win50 cash lottery will only be eligible to win the prize $200,000 guaranteed cash or 50% of ticket sales whichever is greater. Ticket sale for the two raffle licenses are kept separate. Ticket purchasers are not required to purchase a ticket in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Dream Home Lottery to be eligible to purchase tickets in the Win 50 Lottery.
  6. The Grand Prize Draw ($200,000 guaranteed minimum cash prize or 50% of total sales up to $1,000,000.00, maximum cash prize of $500,000) will be held at 12pm on Monday, May 27th, 2019 at one of the two Dream Homes located at 29 Easton Close and 30 Easton Close, St. Albert. Only tickets purchased prior to 11:59pm on Monday, May 20th, 2019 will be eligible for this draw.
  7. The draw will be conducted in the following manner: Draw will be open to the public and one member of the executive of Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area Society and one member of the public without a ticket in the draw, will be present to witness. The draw will be taped, and tickets drawn from a transparent draw barrel. Tickets will be drawn manually by an individual who does not have a ticket in the draw, in a random manner. Only the person making the draw will put their arm into the draw barrel, and will have no clothing on their arm, below their elbow. The winning ticket(s) will be displayed to the witnesses for inspection immediately after they are drawn from the barrel.
  8. In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the licensed charity shall award the prize to the first name of all individuals identified on the ticket. Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub. Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters will not add the name of a person under 18 years of age on a ticket.

  15. Total tickets available are 10,000 tickets @ $5 each; 200,000 tickets @ 10 for $25 (20,000 sets); 270,000 tickets @ 30 for $50 (9,000 sets) for a total of 480,000 tickets.
